Wild West Family Night:
Put on your boots, dust off your cowboy hats and mosey on over to GVA fromfor food, (hot dogs, chilli and mac 'n cheese along with all the fixings!) games, prizes and a night of story telling with award-winning author and performer, Angel Vigil.
Angel will share stories and legends about the Mexican vaqueros / cowboys. His show includes stories from the lives and adventures of the vaqueros, and (weather permitting) a trick roping demonstration! A special feature of the show is the historically accurate costume Angel wears representing the Spanish Colonial Vaquero of the 1700s. This show is part of the Colorado Humanities Council Chautauqua Series.
Students and their families are encouraged to come dressed in western attire. This includes cowboy / cowgirl, Native American or historic western characters such as sheriffs, school teachers, farmers... just no gunslingers please!
This exciting GVA event is free to attend; however, if you plan on having dinner we ask that you book and pay online at the weblink hereby on . The fee is $15.00 per family.
