Stacy considers herself a native having lived in Colorado most of her life. As a young woman, she dreamed of becoming a doctor. Stacy attended the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry and an emphasis in Health Sciences. She soon learned however, that medicine was not her calling. Rather, she followed in the footsteps of her father and became an educator.
Stacy has been an educator for the past 22 years; 7 years as a secondary science teacher and fifteen years as an administrator. She has worked in very diverse environments including: rural, high achieving, low achieving, a school of innovation and an International Baccalaureate School. She believes that her commitment to building meaningful relationships between stakeholders and encouraging involvement in the school community have helped her to be successful in all of these environments.
Stacy and her husband Jim have two daughters, however they are currently empty nesters.
During her free-time Stacy enjoys spending time with her family, reading, watching movies, hiking, and surfing. She is an avid sports fan and loves watching all kinds of games- mostly football.
