About Me

After studying Chinese at Palmer High School and the University of Denver, Nicole studied Chinese history, economics and advanced Mandarin at China’s Peking University. She also taught English at a migrant children’s Elementary school in China and worked for a grassroots Chinese environmental education NGO in Beijing.

Intrigued by food safety concerns in China and funded by the University of Denver, Nicole returned to Beijing in 2013 to study Chinese urban organic agriculture.

Upon returning to the US, Nicole taught Mandarin for Palmer High School’s International Baccalaureate students as a long term substitute and tutored under District 11’s AVID program.

She’s enjoyed travelling
and eating across 16 provinces in China and hopes to tour the entire country by 2020.

Nicole loves playing and teaching the harp, hiking, climbing, camping and exploring the outdoors.  She loves children and is excited to be teaching such bright students at Global Village Academy!
