A little about me, I received my Elementary Education degree from the University of Northern Colorado’s Center for Urban Education. My experience as a teacher intern for 3 years at an IB (International Baccalaureate) elementary school deepened my belief in the importance of global citizenship and multi-cultural education. I have enjoyed teaching Kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade students and have to admit I have a soft spot for students in these grades. Their excitement about learning and boundless curiosity is a joy to encourage.
Outside of teaching, my greatest passions are reading, traveling, quilting, and hiking with my family. I am a Colorado native and can’t imagine living anywhere else. Between us, my husband Michael and I have a blended family of 5 children; Zach (24), Clason (17), Adia (15), CJ (14), and Felicity (13). We also have a spoiled 15 year old puppy-dog Ringo who we lovingly refer to as "grandpa".
