This is my third year working as Assistant Principal at GVA. I’ve been working in schools for 20 years, teaching all different grade levels from pre-kindergarten through college as well as working in administration. At Madison Country Day School in Wisconsin, I taught English, Art, and sometimes Japanese. For the last few years at MCDS, I worked as a Student Support Dean while also teaching part of each day. I developed curriculum, both at MCDS, and for UW-Madison’s programs for middle school students. My husband works for USA Ultimate, the National Governing Body of the sport of Ultimate, which is what brought us to Colorado Springs, and we have a daughter who is a student at Oberlin College.
I was drawn to GVA because of its focus on languages and culture. In addition to the international emphasis, I truly appreciate the diversity of students, families, and staff. This year, I look forward to strengthening the culture and climate as we get settled in to our new location.
