I was born in Ft. Worth, Texas and went to high school at Arlington Lamar and Western Reserve Academy. I earned a Bachelors Degree in English Literature from the University of Pennsylvania in 2001, and subsequently discovered a love of music through the bass guitar. I have been an educator and professional musician for more than a decade, instructing classes and individuals of all ages on guitar and bass. I have been at Global Village Academy for almost 2 years as a paraprofessional in the Special Education Department and I am very exited to begin teaching Music this year. My philosophy of teaching music is that music is a language and the students will learn to express themselves through it just as they would a spoken language.
