I knew when I accepted this position that I would be supporting language immersion schools. What I quickly learned is that culture and language are so closely connected that it is impossible to separate the two. As I reflect on my time with Global Village Academies, I am most proud of the cultural diversity that is represented in all of our schools. Our teachers represent dozens of countries around the world and share their culture and language with our students every single day.
While my time with Global Village Academies is coming to an end, I will carry the memories of international days, passionate teachers, happy and bilingual students, and committed school leaders with me. My professional journey will keep me in Colorado as the Executive Director of Academics for Stargate K-12 School in Thornton so I won't be surprised when our paths next cross.
