Black History Month Assembly at Global Village Academy Aurora Celebrates Leadership and Black Excellence

On February 25, the middle school community at Global Village Academy Aurora East Campus gathered for a powerful Black History Month Assembly honoring the history, impact, and legacy of Black excellence.

The event featured a dynamic opening cheer performance, followed by student presentations that explored the significance of Black leadership, culture, and contributions to society. Students demonstrated pride, confidence, and a deep understanding of the importance of representation and unity.

Guest speaker Dr. Ryan Ross delivered an inspiring message on the influence of Black voices in shaping our world. His words encouraged students to lead with courage, purpose, and a commitment to making a difference.

The assembly concluded with a multilingual presentation of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s " I Have a Dream speech, along with closing reflections centered on student voice, empowerment, and future leadership.

This meaningful event highlighted Global Village Academy Aurora’s commitment to cultural awareness, student leadership, and global education.
