From the Principal

Each petal represents $5,000 worth of donations. To date GVA-DC has raised $15,770 (16% of our $100,000 goal!) and added 11 people to our fundraising team!

What is the Growing Together Fundraising Campaign?
Our school is embarking on a capital campaign known as "Growing Together". This initiative embodies the forward-thinking spirit and community culture that makes GVA-DC a unique and desirable alternative to other schools. "Growing Together" will:
  • Raise vital funds to help support the launch of the middle school for the 2018-2019 academic year;
  • Cover any gaps to ensure a smooth, sustainable and fiscally responsible expansion; and
  • Increase our presence in the Parker community.
How do I Find Out More??
  • If you would like to learn more about the "Growing Together "campaign, you are invited to attend a Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, March 13th at 6:30 pm.
  • Free childcare will be available (donations will be accepted to support our 6th grade outdoor experience trip!)
Spring Parent Teacher Conferences
  • Spring Conferences will be held on Wednesday, March 14th and Thursday, March 15th.
  • However, Spring Conferences will be scheduled for parents/guardians on an as-needed basis. Teachers will be sending out invitations to families they need to meet with.  Everyone else will be receiving an academic update in their Friday folders before Spring Break.
  • Teachers will not be posting a signup genius; instead, they will request that those parents who are invited to attend contact them to schedule a time. If you are not contacted by your child's teacher but would like to request a conference, please email them directly.
Experience Kindergarten
Parents and their student entering Kindergarten in Fall 2018 are invited to participate in a day of Kindergarten.
  • You and your child will have an opportunity to meet the Principal, tour our school, learn about kindergarten readiness and join in activities in our Kindergarten classrooms.
  • Join us on Wednesday, March 14th from 9:00 am - 10:30 am or on Friday, March 30th from 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm.
  • RSVP on our website as seats are limited.
