I am originally from Pennsylvania, where I earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education. While attending university, I took the opportunity to study abroad. This experience was the beginning of my journey to live and teach in other countries. It also inspired me to continue my education and obtain a Master’s of Education in International Teaching. Previously, I taught at international schools in Aruba, Nicaragua and, most recently, Vietnam.
My experience is in teaching English language arts, math, science and social studies to students in kindergarten and grade five. I enjoy learning about my students and engaging them in exciting classroom activities. It is important to me to learn about my students so I can create learning experiences based on their interests and support them throughout their educational journey.
In my free time, I love to explore my surroundings, meet new people, and try different kinds of food. Returning to the US after nearly nine years abroad is going to be like a new adventure for me. I am thrilled to be a part of the GVA community and am eager to get to know my students! I am looking forward to the new school year!
