From the Principal

Don’t have plans for your student? Check out the exciting things happening in Innovation Learning in the article below!
We have a number of exciting events that have been added to the calendar this month. For more details, see the list of Holiday Happenings below!
The Giving Tree
This holiday season, the Giving Tree is beautifully decorated with ornaments created by students representing various cultures worldwide. In addition, paper ornaments have been hung containing the age, sex and a gift suggestion for members of our GVA family in need of some holiday cheer this season. If you would like to participate, please take a tag off of the Giving Tree and buy the gift(s) noted on the tag. Return the gift(s) UNWRAPPED, with the tag attached; to the GVA front office by Monday, December 17th by 4:00 pm. Thank you for your generosity!!!
Innovation Learning
Innovation Learning after-school enrichment program provide daily academic support and physical fitness programs. In addition, this month, we are excited to begin a unit on coding. Students will be learning how to code and think like computer scientists by delving into algorithms, functions, and patterns. Lessons include learning two different coding languages for children: Blockly and Scratch and using them to interface with robots.
