GVA Colorado Springs 4th-Graders Learn About Lacrosse & Native American Culture.

GVA Colorado Springs 4th-grade students have spent the first part of the year studying the Haudenosaunee Native Americans (formerly known as the Iroquois) through Module 1 of Engage New York Curriculum for English Language Arts.  They had the incredible opportunity to bring the Haudenosaunee culture to life at GVA-CS at a recent assembly.

GVA Colorado Springs Continues the Tradition of Schultüte

In Germany, the first day of school for first-time students is celebrated by parents or grandparents giving children Schultüte. To continue the tradition, GVA CS German Kindergarten teacher, Frau Brennan, gave her students a Schultüte to celebrate this momentous occasion!
