Rainbow Village all started with a single bird! Amateur artist and Grandpa, Huang Yung Fu used art to save his village and changed his life. Students loved working collaboratively to create our own Rainbow Village. They also created oil pastel birds, acrylic paintings, village houses and lots and lots of lanterns! Fourth through seventh graders did some "world traveler," planning their own projects and painted found items in the Rainbow Village style. Everything from shoes, toys and recyclables to guitars and a semi piston now radiate colorful happiness. A highlight for me was watching a student paint, "I love my life." on his bike helmet.
