This distinction is given to schools that pass an application process in which they must present a body of evidence portraying excellence in French biliteracy and another language (English).
"LabelFrancÉducation" is granted by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs based on the advice of an inter-ministerial advisory committee composed of representatives from the French Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Education, the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE), the French Institute (IF) and Mission Laïque Française, a non-profit organization.
GVA Aurora and Douglas County are the only two Colorado schools awarded the seal.
DELF
GVA-DC is also certified to administer the Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française (DELF).
- The DELF is the official language proficiency test for candidates outside of France. The French Ministry of Education awards it.
- Attaining a certain level of this language diploma allows students to apply for French citizenship and access French universities.
